d’andt is the studio practice of Dinie van den Heuvel. A garment, a show set, a zero-waste collection — each one starts as a rectangle of fabric, and what happens at that moment decides both the form it takes and the waste it leaves.

Pattern & garment engineering
Custom development for runway collections — draping, three-dimensional research, block development, toiling and production-ready technical packs. The work behind the look, done to the tolerance a show demands.

Set & decor — textile manipulation
Not set building — textile manipulation for sets. The flowers, the roses in suiting stripe, the fringed floors, the tailored bears: cloth worked into three dimensions and made in series, to a show date that does not move. The same craft as the pattern table, applied at the scale of a room.

Sustainability consulting
Material strategy, zero-waste and circular pattern systems, sourcing and supply-chain review, and collection audits. Evidence-based and specific to the product — not a certificate on a wall.

Education & research
Master-level teaching, industry masterclasses and curriculum design for schools, sector funds and institutions. Currently a doctoral researcher in sustainability studies.
